Shelly inspired me in so many ways way back when. I actually began composing this on the Lake Erie shoreline back in the early ‘80’s when Shelly and I would take our guitars and mandolins there and play for the waves, clouds, and breezes. Good times I greatly miss. I re-recorded it in 2002.
I have fond memories of going to visit her at her folks back in the day…her Mom was a Pepsi addict who always enjoyed having me as her “drinking partner” - sending me into the basement to bring up some ice cold bottles of Pepsi for her and me while Shelly got ready to go out. I swear “Mrs. G” stored more cases of the stuff than some convenient stores.
So many great memories back then. Thanks Shell for all of them.
