A sloppy 1977 cassette recording of me practicing (without a metronome unfortunately) “Flight Of The Bumblebee”. You can hear my brother John enter the room at the end and say nice things about my playing. I can’t remember but he must have wanted a favor from me. Or maybe it was the 10 bucks I gave him for saying it.

Anyway, my fingers back then only knew one speed: “maximum thrust”. I’ve since learned to downshift  and play slower, resulting in  cleaner, better timing and more articulate recordings.  Most of the time, anyway.

I’m actually working on a new tune that incorporates “Bumblebee” with some neat surprises. I think you’ll like it. Stay “tuned”.
